Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome! I am very excited and I’m looking forward to teaching your child and providing
meaningful experiences to develop a lifelong love for learning. I truly want their 5th
grade year to be a positive experience.

A little about me! I have my Bachelor’s Degree from Lindenwood University in
Elementary Education with Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical Special Education. I have
my Master’s Degree in Special Education with Early Childhood Education from UMSL.
I have been teaching since 2001. I have 15 years’ experience in educating Special
Education students. I have 1 year experience in educating students in the preschool
setting, having taught a 3 year old classroom. I have 1 year experience teaching
Kindergarten here at Lemasters 2.5 yrs in 1 st grade , and I am excited to start my 2nd
year in 5th here at Lemasters.

I have 3 beautiful daughters, Andy, Sammy, and Lydia. We love to cook, bake, swim, be
silly, and watch movies with plenty of snacks. I love to run. I have run 3 Full Marathons
(26.2 Miles). My last one was completed in 4 hours and 3 minutes; my goal is 4 hours or
less. I would love to train and run another one, to hopefully conquer that goal! I love my
coffee in the morning!

My goal for this year is to help you see the joy and empowerment within your educational experiences to build your desire to be lifelong learners!
